GTA 6 Release Date, Platforms, Price and Editions

GTA 6 comes out on Thursday, 19 November 2026. It is for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is a single-player game.

Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026. Digital pre-load starts on 12 November 2026. We found no PC date on Rockstar’s pages.

Rockstar lists two platforms for GTA 6.

Rockstar’s GTA VI page says the game plays best on PlayStation 5.

Pre-orders opened at midnight local time on 25 June 2026.

Every pre-order, and every purchase before 20 November 2026, comes with the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also get one free month of GTA+.

Digital pre-load starts on 12 November 2026 at local midnight. That is one week before launch.

The physical version has a download code inside the box. There is no disc. Rockstar expects stores to ship it or offer pickup from 12 November 2026. You can use the code as soon as you get it, so you can pre-load from that day.

There are two editions. Prices are in US dollars.

The Vintage Vice City Pack has three parts:

• ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage
• Outfits and Hairstyles
• Exclusive Weapon Pattern

The Ultimate Edition Upgrade adds these items:

• ’95 Grotti Cheetah
• Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers
• Personalized Weapon Variants
• Vice City Styles
• Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles
• Ganado Retro Build
• Rideout Customs Mod Shop
• Sara’s Unisex Salon
• Shitzu Squalo
• Stock 305 Clothing Store
• ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage
• Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor
• One-Eyed Willie’s Mod Shop
• Goodtime Gear
• PTT Youngin$ Compound
• Classic Car Collection

Rockstar says these bonuses are spread across Jason and Lucia’s story.

If you buy the Standard Edition, you can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade later from the PlayStation or Microsoft store. There is no physical Ultimate Edition. Physical owners can upgrade after they use their code.

Rockstar has only announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We found no PC release date on Rockstar’s pages.

You may see PC dates on other sites. Those are guesses, so we do not list them. Any PC date is unverified until Rockstar shares one. We will update this page then.

Rockstar says GTA 6 will be sold at the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and other stores around the world.

GTA 6 was first planned for fall 2025. On 2 May 2025, Rockstar moved it to 26 May 2026. On 6 November 2025, Rockstar moved it again, to 19 November 2026.

Rockstar said sorry both times. The first time, it said it needed extra time to reach the quality fans expect. The second time, it said the extra months would help finish the game with more polish. It gave no other reason.

The date has not changed since then. Rockstar’s pre-order news in June 2026 still lists 19 November 2026.

Rockstar’s own Newswire confirms the two newer dates. The fall 2025 start, the 2 May 2025 date and the reason for the first move come from news sites, so they are unverified.

• A PC release date. Rockstar has not shared one on the pages we checked.
• The price of the Ultimate Edition Upgrade when you buy it alone. Rockstar’s pages say you can buy it, but we found no price.
